Well I'd pretty well consider it so. Valentine's Day is this month, so hey! Not that I'm really into the cupid stuff, I just like getting the chocolate hearts.
So, how's it been? I've been behind in my schoolwork and due to that, I have found my head too crammed to post. But now I'm all caught up and my brain is clearing. Things just haven't been my way in the school area lately....History is the Civil War, which I am good at that but it depends on how many problems are in the lesson or quiz. Like one quiz I had last week had over thirty-some questions...I can't take that. Bible is on the persecution of the Church. Language Arts is(thankfully not a lot of scary grammar) on writing tips or something. Math is easy(for once! Thank the LORD). And Science is....on...quite frankly at the moment, I forget.
Life has been fine. I'll be getting a new guitar soon so I'm excited for that! See, I've had my old one for about a few years now, and my music teacher says my fingers have pretty well gotten used to it(and I can agree to that), so it is time for me to get a bigger one. I've really progressed far in my music. I've gone from picking strings to strumming, which I'm still working on. It's fun, hard(with the fact I have to move my fingers around alot), and sometimes even easy. I think it's worth it.
I think my dog is upset. See, Pets Mart sent us a birthday coupon for her, so it means she turned a year older. Penny is now 5, but acts like she is still a puppy. I asked her how she liked being a year older and, being a grumpy dog, she groaned. Was it bad that I laughed? It's like she actually understood me. Oh well, I guess I can agree with her. The years go by so fast and the next minute you are actually grown up.
I'm upset to say I've progressed no further in my stories, except I am in the middle of yet ANOTHER one. I'm coming up with ideas every minute of my life. Sometimes I'm glad I have a second talent, that way I can succeed in that if the other fails. But I'm glad for night time! It gives me a while to think about what I want. Like I said before, I have no idea how I want to begin my stories. THAT IS ALWAYS MY PROBLEM.
On the subject of real life, well...things in my home have been...say...interesting. My brother is busy with college stuff and it's driving me nuts. See, he graduated High School last year. And now he is going to college this fall. He is also planning to volunteer at the summer camp I went to last year. Oh great...anyways, Dad is getting a new computer, which means he is going to move the one in the room to the living room, and that one is going to his church office. Sound complicated? Then you don't know my dad. He is excellent with computer stuff.
I don't know how many times I've honestly watched "The Hobbit" movie trailer. I have to wait until December for it to come out! I have the up-most faith in Peter Jackson to make this one good, as he did beautifully with Lord of the Rings which I am a big fan of. The cast looks great. And my sister(who read the book) says they've left out nothing so far, except for the fact of adding new characters and bringing back some of the old ones. And frankly, I'm anxious to see how it all turns out.
Yes, 2012 will be a year of great movies. The one I mentioned above will be coming out, then there will be the Disney/Pixar movie "Brave", and well...I really don't know any others. I just know that there will be a lot I want to see.
Well, I think that's all I wanted to say. I'll leave you with a video! YES! A video!
In honor of the best Disney film that was just re-released in 3D.

Ehhh.....I don't what to call this
I've honestly got nothing to call this post. I did think of the Post of Randomness, buuuuuuuuut that sounded kinda cheesy to me.
So sorry for not posting lately! I know you've all been begging me to make more posts but I've just been slightly lazy again. My days have been....interesting.
Over the course of time that I haven't kept you informed, my older sis turned sixteen. But you wouldn't know how long it took me to find the right gift for her. First I look in movies, nothing there that I could really afford. Looked in t-shirts, but we couldn't find the right size. Looked in necklaces, found some nice ones but then I knew what she really needed. I got her a nice grownup watch. While there I kept pointing out things I wanted and that frustrated my mom, cuz she kept reminding me my birthday was months away and I had plenty of time to decide. It's never too early! And plus I also found a huge Hello Kitty alarm clock that I was going to buy with my Christmas money, but it wasn't there last time. It's always there when I'm shopping for someone other than me.
Sister(11)'s basketball games have started, which I'm usually not fond of going to them, but I made the exception. It's an all girls team and they won! Sis nearly got a shot in but that retarded buzzer went off. I brought my i-pod to try and drown the coaching parents, but that was failed. Can't say I didn't try. See, that's a reason I truly hate going to games. I feel like looking around and shouting "HEY, I came to watch my sister play, not have some loud adult yelling nonsense behind my back, so be quiet!".
If any of you have been getting snow, then you are quite lucky. I really want snow. All I've gotten is wind and rain, that's all REALLY YUCKY. My poor doggie had to be chained outside earlier when it was pouring outside and I had half a mind to go cover her with my umbrella. She looked so pitiful! So yeah, I ended up getting her inside after she was done eating her breakfast and now she owes me to behave.
So far I've spent my day doing...school....watching TV....all the usual routine things. I was kind of behind in Bible because I couldn't find my CD. After tearing through my room, I finally found it mixed in my with one of my sister's school CDs. How it got there I don't know, but I'm really glad I found it.
I have been typing stories! My first Sarah Winchester mystery...eh...I've not really made progress. If you bring up the document I've placed it in, all you'll see is the title "The Amsterdam Diamond". Yes I'm so horrible! I'm at loss of how to begin it. I know I'm awesome at middle chapters. I'm working on endings! But I'm so horrible at beginning stories! That's always been my problem from the first day I started writing short stories and many unfinished novels. But I will succeed this time! I will!
Also on the subject of writing, I am planning on doing a historical-fiction as soon as my first mystery is done and out of the way. Not sure which time period, maybe the 18th century, the era of wigs and fancy-schmancy ballgowns. THAT has to be my favorite, after reading so many that take place there(aka The Charles Town Belles series).
Well, I think that's all my fingers can handle typing right now.

Describe me in one word...
I've been so lazy as to not posting. Well, let's just say the weather was absolutely disgusting yesterday and I didn't feel up to the task of informing you all of my life. Today I want a change of pace. I'll talk about my writing!
Did you even think I write stories? Of course I do, but so far, as of now, have been finished. I have get going just fine and then I get stuck. It happens every time, maybe because I don't have a firm enough plot? As the years have went by, I have realized mistakes I have made in my writing. Now I'm much better, and I'm going to try my hand at writing a series. And getting it published(hopefully!). I want to be an author so badly.
They are going to be mysteries, because as you may know already, I LOVE MYSTERIES. So that'll be easy. The next step is getting the main characters together. And I already did that!
My main character is a fourteen-year old girl named Sarah Winchester. She's a homeschooler, travels alot, and likes to read. She also has a Nancy Drew-type personality.
I promise, as soon as the first chapter of the first book is all done and written, I'll post it on another blog made specially for my writing.

2012?
To me, it seems only yesterday that 2011 started. Now I must try and survive another 2012? It's going to be interesting to see what happens for the next twelve months....and did I mention I turn 14 in June?!?! That's like...five months away. As always at the start of a new year and month, I start making plans. Let me see....four months til' the homeschool conference, five months til' my birthday(which I already mentioned! I have to wait so long!), three months til' Spring Break.
So how was Christmas for everyone? Mine was ok, I guess. BUT WAIT! I GOT AN AWESOME PRESENT AMONGST OTHERS!!!! LOOK!
So how was Christmas for everyone? Mine was ok, I guess. BUT WAIT! I GOT AN AWESOME PRESENT AMONGST OTHERS!!!! LOOK!
(sorry for the bad quality but I took this with my webcam, mind you)
A pink i-pod shuffle! And I already have like...ten or something songs on it. This is my favorite out of all presents. Speaking of presents, let me show you the ENTERTAINMENT I GOT.
One of the movies I precisely asked for! Kind of disappointed it wasn't Beauty and the Beast, but I wanted this one just as much.
So, those are the only ones that interested me. Oh yeah, and I also got some perfume or something to smell good, and a snowglobe, and a pair of striped gloves from big brother. And my little sister got me an awesome purple compact mirror with a rainbow-leopard pattern on it. I guess I got my good share of items.
And as you also have noticed by now, I have renovated my blog. Still not done with the sidebar items, as I am still trying to find some blinkies and such to put there besides the ones I already have.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! There is no joke there. Same time, every year, I get the same childish thrill when it nears my favoritest holiday! I love driving past houses at night time and seeing pretty lights instead of dull darkness. I love getting in from the cold and drinking cocoa. I love shopping and getting presents. I love everything about this holiday.
I've already done half my Christmas shopping. So far, I have bought something for Dad, Mom, and my brother, but I still need to get sisters something. And I'm a four dollar budget, so you can imagine the time I'll have trying to figure out what to get. Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out what my parents got me, and, frankly, I'm quite scared that's it not on my list. Those folks of mine are unpredictable.
So Christmas Break has started! But I couldn't enjoy the first day of it. Why? I had to get two stubborn wittle baby teeth extracted.
Hey it wasn't that bad. I just sat there for awhile waiting until it was my doomed call and then went back. Of course, I had to wait a few more minutes til' the dentist got in there, and believe me, I could wait. Yeah so I was a bit nervous. While they had barely started, my hands were clinging to the arm rests like it was the end. I need to stop being such a drama queen.
Anyways, it was one tooth on the top, and one on the bottom. They got the bottom one out first, and I barely felt it. I mean when I heard the dentist say "Ok let's get the top one" and I was like "You got the bottom one already? Sheesh man that was fast". To make a long story short, I made a speedy recovery by eating jello and watching one of my favorite programs(and try and guess which one). What I didn't like before that was having to stuff gauze where it was bleeding. At least I didn't gag it up this time.
Now the story I just mentioned above has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with Christmas of course. So let's get back to the that.
Yesterday, I finally got around to watching a Christmas movie, "The Polar Express", and did I mention how much I LOVE the credit song? It's even on my playlist. Josh Groban has such an amazing voice. No one can sing "Believe" better than him.
Have some of you been wanting to see my family's Christmas tree? Well wait no more, for here it is!
Not very good lighting, I know. But I took it with my webcam so that's to be expected. And now you know what I mean by HUGE. I'm shocked we even had enough ornaments.
So........I guess that is it. I've ran out of things to say honestly. I'll leave you with this:

Deck the Halls!

I honestly wanted to make a post yesterday, but things got jammed up and I didn't have time. So sorry...again.
So I have a lot to say, and no idea how to begin saying. Let me see....oh yeah! My family has finally got our beautiful Christmas tree set up in the living room. Now normally, we always have no problem setting it up and decorating. But this year, oh goodness, this year it was different. See, my dad bought this HUGE tree, and my sibs and I had to haul it inside. But that thing was so heavy! I felt like collapsing only after ten minutes of holding it, and that's not new to me, since I'm not a heavy lifter. Anyways, after like an HOUR OR SO we finally got it set up but had to wait til' the next day to decorate. And if that wasn't enough, a couple of days after decorating...the tree collapsed twice! I was half tempted to yell "Timber" but no one else would have been laughing. To make a long story short, yes, it is stable now.
I can't believe it is almost Christmas! I am so so so so so excited! I'm pysched! I'm ecstatic! Can I go on about how thrilled I am?
.........................................
I'll be serious. Me parents have already done Christmas shopping, and are being very very secretive. Now I know what they are getting my brother, but since the dear boy is on Blogger, and will be reading this blog later, I'll be a good little girl and not spill the beans. Still have no idea what they are getting me. I'm all ears, trying to figure it out. But I'm frankly scared, because sometimes people end up getting me things I don't bother with later. At the same time, I'm still expecting something great.
Hey, did I mention my family went to the town Christmas parade today? Obviously not. So anyways, we had a quick breakfast of donuts and then waited in our cold van til' it was a few minutes away from the parade starting. When it did.....ugh I'm surpised I didn't lose my hearing. YES ALL THOSE LOUD FIRETRUCKS! I plugged my ears until they were gone but only uncovered them when candy was being thrown.
The parade was completely awesome, except I'm still not convinced of who clowns really are. One tried to make me hug him, but I shook my head as to say I wasn't sold on it. Wouldn't he ought to know, if I were hiding, I was scared of clowns. I embarrass myself alot. I'm thirteen and I'm still scared of clowns. What is it about them that I don't like? I feel sorry for that clown though, he looked kind of disappointed.
Anywho, I'll tell you my favorite part of the parade. The marching band! They were playing this year! Last year they didn't, because it was too wet and cold. But alas, they did it this time since z weather was nice. I also liked all the floats and old cars that drove by. Just your typical small town parade, not much to brag about.
Ok, I think I'm done here. See you all on Monday guys!
