Picture Post!

Today is a picture post of my toys! Yes, go ahead and say it. I'm 13 but I still play with dollies. I'm still posting them thoough!

Those aren't toys, those are my clip-on earrings I got during day camp. They look very pretty no?

Above are my darling webkinz, Pat(the cocker spaniel) and Lucy(the white terrier). I've had Pat since...um..May of 2009. He was a gift from my grandma. And Lucy, well I got her with my own money to save my account. Anyways, they are both very cute and I love collecting toy animals.

Oh yes, which brings me to my favorite animal. My old pal Clifty whom I have had since I was three, he was a gift from someone at church. He was there for me during the tough times as a toddler. I cuddled him when I had nightmares. He was my best friend. I named him after Clifford the Big Red Dog.

This is Liana. She was actually my second Barbie doll, you see I used to have Mariposa but she had a tragic accident. I got Liana for my 11th birthday in 2009, and she actually is a princess from Diamond Castle. But I misplaced her gown so I just put this awesome outfit on her. Her hair is always mess so it's always in a ponytail. So um yeah.

My next doll is Rapunzel. Yes she has her gown, I have not misplaced it, my little sis has it on one of her Barbies. She was my third doll. I got her for Christmas of 2009. She is wearing a cute dress that came on one of my sister's dolls. Rapunzel is one of the prettiest Barbies and well I can't very well remember the reason why I wanted her. Maybe it was the hair...

Next is the lovely Miss Merliah Summers from Barbie in a Mermaid Tale! I really wanted her because her surfer outfit can change into a mermaid tale and I can take her into the swimming pool with me. Her hair even has pink highlights and is currently in a ponytail. I like the movie as much as the doll, so yeah.

My last doll is Ellen Hopkins. She really didn't have a name til' I got her. I bought her with Christmas money from my grandma. Ellen is special to me because she's the first Barbie I ever bought myself. And she came with two great outfits. I LOVE the shoes.

So I guess those are all my dolls and animals. They are truely special to me in all ways. Oh one more thing before I depart, I'd like to wish my parents a happy anniversary!

Books and Tea

Yesterday my sisters and I went to a tea party hosted by one of our friends(Angel at http://shycountrygal.blogspot.com/). I had quite a lovely time. We played a couple of games, including Poor Pussycat and Pass the Teapot, both quite fun. Especially the teapot game, I laughed so hard I had to sit down. You see the whole jist of the game is that someone has to stand in the middle with their eyes closed while everyone else passes a little teapot around. When the person opens their eyes they have to guess who has the teapot. I was the culprit a couple of times. And if that person has it, it's their turn to be in the middle.

The treats at teatime were delicious(I especially loved the lemon bars). I've never actually tried warm tea before, but I must say for trying it the first time ever it tasted good. I must convince my mom to make some at home sometime.

I must say that afternoon passed rather quickly. We did get some pictures however, if you would like to see them, feel welcome to visit Angel's blog to take a look. And you'll see me in a few, just look for the girl wearing a pink dress and hair ribbon. Oh wait I'll share a picture right now:

Before we left, one of my other friends who was there let me borrow one of her books. It's called "Lady Carliss and the Waters if Moorue", book four in the Knights of Arrethrae series by Chuck Black(same guy who wrote Kingdom Series).  I do say I am throughly enjoying it. No I have not read the first three books, I'll get around to that another time.  Expect to see a review of this book once I have finished it. I can guarrantee you, it will be lengthy and high.

6-year-old cancer patient gets a royal hug

Here’s the news story:
“When Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, touched down at Calgary Airport yesterday, 6-year-old Diamond Marshall, her little head bald from her battle with cancer, ran up and threw herself right
into into her royal idol’s arms.”

I found this news story truely touching, this is the type of news they need to show nowadays. If you know anyone suffering from cancer or any other disease, share this story with them. Give them a hug to let you know they care as much as Princess Kate did for this little girl.

What a mouthful...

I think I will deem myself the mistress of random titles!

Things have been busy this week. My older sister has been volunteering at the local hospital, my younger sister is on her last day of day camp and will be going to overnight camp in a couple of weeks. My older brother...what can I say. He's been on his computer non-stop. Obsessed you might say, but I don't think I'm that bad.

I'm still reading "The Red Siren". Although I haven't gotten that far, I already feel comfortable with most of the characters. But with the book taking place in the early days of America, and some of the characters being from England, it's hard to understand the words like "Tis", "Indeed", and "Profoundly" and all those other words. It doesn't confuse me like it used to, for they used some of those words in "The Falcon and the Sparrow". Sigh...

This morning I thought I had slept in late and discoverd it was only sort of past 8:30 AM. I guess it's because the weathers been kinda overcast this week. You see there was a forest fire a few towns over and the smoke had drifted into my town. My mom usually lays the laundry out on the deck to dry but a couple of days ago she had to shake ashes out of 'em. And plus I took my dog outside for a walk and it smelled like smoke. Thankfully the weather has cleared up...back to the blazing heat that is....blech.

Anyways I've spent my day reading, watching TV, listening to my playlist, and taking the dogs for walks. How dull for me when my sisters have been busy on their feet. As I have previously mentioned, I was going to volunteer alongside sister(15) at the hospital this year but they refused my applications because I wasn't old enough. Last year the age had been thirteen, and I wasn't old enough then. I turned thirteen this year and applyed to volunteer. But they had boosted the age range up to fourteen. I was upset. But it showed me that perhaps the LORD has another plans for me, which I don't know what. I'm just praying and making it through one day at a time.

I've been begging my mom to take us to the beach, for lately I have felt the urge to go down to sea again...she said we'll try and make time. But when????? I need to feel the breeze in my hair, the sand between my toes, I need to hear the sound of the waves lapping against shore.

Well I need to end my entry now, I'm getting a hand cramp. So I shall be kind enough to leave you with this goofy picture of misbehaving princesses:

Congrats!!!

One of my favorite reality shows is "19 Kids and Counting". Yes, nineteen kids! Their oldest, Josh had gotten married a few years ago and he and his wife had a baby girl. Previously I learned they were expecting another kid, a boy this time. He was born yesterday, weighing 8 pounds and 5 ounces. But I don't know what they named it yet. Here's a picture of the little boy and his proud parents:

Isn't he the cutest little thing ever? I wonder which of his parents he is gonna take after.
